Monoplay – festival of solos is looking for performing artists for its festival, which will take place from 30th of August until 1st of September 2014 in Zadar, Croatia. Monoplay – festival of solos, is the only dance festival in Croatia – in contemporary dance field and its expression within contemporary theatre – specialized in presenting solo performances. Monoplay 2014 wants to concentrate on virtuosity of the piece itself and its openness toward interaction with audience.

The program of the sixth Monoplay festival of solos includes performances of, both, Croatian and foreign dancers and choreographers with accompanying content, workshop and lectures.

Monoplay calls for young artists to propose dance performances (only solos) – preferably recent independent productions with the accent on artistic innovation and exploring. Performances which have already been performed and the ones which will be premiered until 15th of June 2014 will be taken into consideration.

The organisers cover full travel costs and accomodation for artists coming from Croatia and accomodation and partial or full travel costs for International artists, depending on from which country the selected artist is arriving.
