ttp WUK: Interferencias – Open Call

INTERFERENCIAS is an encounter/research collective of 26 international artists in the field of choreography, dance and performance.

INTERFERENCIAS provides a frame for an „artistic research happening“ in form of gatherings in several countries by creating temporary communities. The first edition took place 2010 in Mexico and lasted 3 weeks, combining the aspects of education, research and performance. During this period the participants developed a collective research frame, focusing on contemporary working conditions (means of creation, politics of performance, locality of actions and collective self-organization), which offered the space to follow your individual interest within the topic as well. In 2012 the 26 artist form a nomadic collective traveling trough Portugal, Austria, Mexico and Brazil.

As part of their stay in Vienna INTERFERENCIAS invites 26 contemporary artists of contemporary dance, performance, fine arts, music and theory field to collaborate. Participation free of charge!

Accessing through your own interest on researching contemporary working modes, this group of 52 people provides itself as a resource, reflector and opportunity for exchange.

Timeframe:
4. – 5. August 2012: Icebreaker Weekend
6. -10. August 2012: collaboration/research phase – 4h a day
11. August 2012: process sharing in WUK (site specific sharing 9th and 7th district Vienna is planned)
12. August 2012: closing day
These days you should be available in the mornings around 9h to 13h

1. Oktober – 5. Oktober 2012: refreshing and prepare presentations
6. Oktober 2012: Participation at Herbstfest of 7th district
11. Oktober 2011: Presentation of the research at “Salon der Kulturen”/Educult

Interdisciplinary Research Platform: “FEEDBACK”
(Work in Progress)

We are looking for artists interested in supporting developing a research project, that deals with the question of communication beyond language and the exploration of the social emotional collective mind. Since Spring 2011 we are devising this project called “FEEDBACK” together with artists from Europe and America.

Our goal is to set up a space where different artforms and research topics (like psychology, physics, sociology, etc.) can clash and illustrate different systemic forms & their possibilities in society. The setup/space equals a model or laboratory where systems can be observed and manipulated.

We invite interested artists to a three week workshop- phase in Linz/Austria this summer.

Participation requires familiarity with improvisational structures, an openness towards discussion about the process and the contribution of ideas and thoughts.

The workshop takes place at Hafengelände Linz between Saturday June 16th and Sunday July 1st. Hours TBA. Part-time contribution can be discussed.

Zum 20. Jubiläum des Life Ball am 19. Mai 2012 sucht das Life Ball Team für die Eröffnungsshow, in der Choreographie von Kim Duddy, professionelle Tänzerinnen und Tänzer, die Freude an der Teilnahme und Unterstützung dieses einzigartigen Events haben.

Die ausgewählten InteressentInnen werden zu einem Casting (inkl. anschließendem Fitting) am Montag, den 7. Mai 2012 eingeladen.

Die Proben finden vom 12. – 19. Mai 2012 in Wien statt.

Postgraduate Certificate Course in Arts Management

Welcome to the Introductory course – March 23, 24, 25 Vienna, Austria

The introductory course in March is opens the door towards the new collaboration project in Russia in autumn 2012 – the six-week period of performance creation in a Russian repertory theatre together with Russian actors and performers from different countries! The full course programme includes the long-distance training, the practical
residential sessions, and the secondment in the Russian repertory theatre, where the international performance will take place.

The programme is designed for existing arts managers, working in various creative industries, seeking further professional development and interested in strengthening their practical knowledge and skills. This course will be especially relevant to those candidates who are motivated to develop a managerial career in performing arts at
international level – personalities with strong personal mission, passion for the arts and a strong sense of purpose.

There are several scholarships available for participation in the introductory course in March in Vienna.
The scholarship amount is 300 EUR and covers part of the participation fee.

Tänzer und Tänzerin gesucht

Ich bin Bühnenbildstudentin an der Kunstuni Graz. Ich plane für das Sommersemester 2013 meine Diplomarbeit, welche ein praktisches Projekt werden soll. Deshalb bin ich nun auf der Suche nach einem Tänzer und einer Tänzerin
die Interesse haben, bei diesem Projekt dabei zu sein. Das bedeutet eine Choreographie zu erarbeiten und zu tanzen in Zusammenarbeit mit mir (Bühne und Kostüme) und Komponisten im Bereich elektronischer Musik.

Das Stück soll an den Mythos von Orpheus und Eurydike angelehnt sein, wobei ich eine eigene neue Version erarbeiten möchte, die ihren Fokus auf Orpheus als Künstler und Reisenden legt. Das Stück soll sich im Zeitrahmen um eine Stunde bewegen und voraussichtlich im März kommenden Jahres Premiere haben.

IUGTE & ArtUniverse announced scholarships for the February event 2012 –
International Physical Theatre Lab

The scholarship amount is 300 EUR and covers part of the participation fee.

Performers of different genres and techniques – dancers,
choreographers, actors and directors are welcome to apply for
participation.

The event will take place at the 15th century castle, today the
international education centre in Styria, Austria.
Accommodation and meals are organized for the participants.
The Lab working language is English.
The program is designed for experienced performing arts practitioners
with professional stage experience interested to find new
international network opportunities and collaborators. The Lab is a
great opportunity to approach a unique methodological and practical
material that will enrich your professional skills and will offer you
the possibility to share an intense creative experience at a global
level. Moreover, the Lab opens the door towards the new collaboration
project in Russia in autumn 2012 – the six-week period of performance

We are pleased to inform, that the HIGH FEST International Performing
Arts Festival welcomes performing arts companies and artists to
present their productions in all genres of performing arts including
theatre (drama, comedy, mime, movement, circus, street performances,

Solo/Duo/Trio-Werken. Bis 24.1.2012 sind Bewerbungen für das AAR
Programm Term 6 möglich. AAR-Term 6 findet von Februar bis Juni 2012
statt und steht diesmal in inhaltlicher Bezugnahme zum 20jährigen
Bestehen von Tanz*Hotel.

Heidelberger Theatertage der Freien Gruppen 2012: Ausschreibung
Im Herbst 2012 steht Heidelberg ganz im Zeichen des Freien Theaters:
Vom 24. Oktober bis zum 3. November hebt sich zum fünfzehnten Mal der
Vorhang für das jährliche Festival “Heidelberger Theatertage der
Freien Gruppen”. Ensembles aus dem gesamten deutschsprachigen Raum
treten den Wettbewerb um den Heidelberger Theaterpreis und
unseren Wanderpokal “Heidelberger Puck” an.

Dieser in der Region einmalige Preis ist mit insgesamt € 1500 und neun
Auftrittstagen im
TiKK dotiert. Mit dem Heidelberger Theaterpreis werden Produktionen
ausgezeichnet, die
durch ein hohes Maß an Innovation und Ideenreichtum dazu angetan sind,
dem freien
Schauspiel neue Impulse zu geben. Vergeben werden drei Jury-Preise sowie ein
Publikumspreis.

Bewerben können sich alle Freien Sprechtheater-Produktionen für
Erwachsene. Zu den Bewerbungsunterlagen gehören Informationen über:
– Gruppe / Ensemble / Bühne
– Regie / Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler
– bisherige Produktionen
– Bewerbungsproduktion (mit Fotos, Programmheft, Plakat, Kritiken)
– Länge der Bewerbungsproduktion / mit oder ohne Pause?
– Gesamtanzahl Personal insgesamt
– Technischer Aufwand (hoch, mittel, gering)?

und außerdem:
