Den heftigsten Applaussturm entfesselte der junge Brite James Wilton mit seiner ersten, 2010 entstandenen Choreographie, mit der er heuer in London einen internationalen Wettbewerb gewonnen hat. „The Shortest Day“ …erzählt auf ungeheruer dynamische Weise von einem verzeweifelten Überlebenskampf, den Milton und seine Mitstreiter mit unbändiger Energie, enormer Kondition und akrobatischer Körperbeherrschung führten. WORKSHOP-INHALT
” A contemporary dance workshop led by James Wilton. Drawing influence from Flying Low, Martial Arts, Caopeira, Break dancing and contact improvisation. The workshops are highly physical, challenging and offer a unique insight into Wilton’s choreography.
The day begins with a floor based technique class lasting 1 hour 30 minutes.
After a short break participants will learn rep from Wilton’s works The Shortest Day and Cave.
The day finishes with Wilton guiding participants through some of his creative process’ in the form of task based partner work.”
